We are looking for a dedicated and passionate English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English instruction to students whose first language is not English. This role requires a deep understanding of language acquisition, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners.
As an ESL Teacher, you will create engaging lesson plans that focus on reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. You will assess students’ language proficiency levels and tailor instruction to help them progress effectively. You will also foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence in using English.
Your responsibilities will include preparing instructional materials, using a variety of teaching tools and technologies, and maintaining accurate records of student progress. You will collaborate with other educators and support staff to ensure that students receive the resources and assistance they need to succeed. Additionally, you may be involved in extracurricular activities, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development opportunities.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong command of the English language, and a genuine interest in helping students achieve their language goals. A background in linguistics, education, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant teaching certifications such as TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA.
